WE WOULD LIKE TO HELP PROVIDE THE KNOWLEDGE, SKILL SETS AND TOOLS TO HELP YOU CHANGE THE WORLD.

If you are like most people you probably don’t have a first aid kit at home let alone in your car. Most of the first aid kits out there today don’t contain the truly necessary tools you need. At McCary Cares Consulting our goal is to make sure every family has a real first aid kit with a tourniquet. Millions of people go to the emergency department every year because of bleeding. We should know –Wyman McCary, the owner, has been an emergency department trauma nurse for one of the top five busiest level 1 adult trauma centers in the country.

ALWAYS PREPARED.

Wyman had always carried a first aid kit in his car and at least three or four times a year, ended up stopping at a scene and giving care until EMS arrived…

BIRTH OF A COMPANY

“I have a regular first aid bag and a sports bag because I have children that play sports, I would also make kits for people I knew after looking at what one of my friends had in their emergency first aid kit️. This spring I drove up on a scene of a multi car accident – there were multiple victims and some had serious injuries. There were many people there offering to help but no first aid supplies except for mine. I did what I could until the ambulances arrived and went to work where I received three of the victims as level one traumas and I actually took care of one of them again. That was enough to make me start really looking at what was out there as far as first aid kits.

I was already looking at starting a company providing classes for people and nurses in areas like CPR /BLS, first aid ,disaster preparedness training , ACLS , NCLEX prep, asthma and diabetes education , and started doing research about the first aid kits and decided there was a need there and I decided to start my own company.”

TESTIMONIALS

Wyman keeps new nurses on their toes!

The staff all laugh as they tell the new nurses “Wyman is going to quiz you all the time whether he is your preceptor or not. ” or as one nurse tells it. ” I was 15 minutes into my first shift and Wyman looks at me and asks if I am new to ED or shadowing. I tell him it’s my first day and he pulls me into a level 1 very unstable trauma and starts working with me”. He works a lot in sims labs going over different scenarios to help my fellow nurses be prepared.
